Oh hey there! I’m Lucas Harris, a kid from Minneapolis. And let me tell you, winters up here hit like a ton of bricks. I’m talkin’ the kind of cold where you can’t even feel your face. So what’s a guy supposed to do when he’s stuck inside for days? Game, of course.
I remember one Christmas, I must have been fourteen or fifteen, and the snow was piled halfway up the mailbox. My sister gave me BioShock Infinite as a gift. And let me tell ya, I didn’t see daylight for two whole days.
All I know is my mom kept bringing me lefse, all buttered up, just to make sure I ate something. I was barely blinking, eyes glued to the screen, when I heard her coming up behind me in her slippers. She goes, “Lucas, you’re gonna let that screen fry your brain!”
Classic mom talk, right? But what she didn’t know was, I wasn’t just playing, I was paying real close attention to how the game moved, how the levels were laid out.
