Posted on January 16, 2013 by Craig Bowman

Foursquare has recently partnered with the Presidential Inaugural Committee to not only recognize those taking part in our National Day of Service, but to also award Foursquare’s first volunteer service badge.  The badge can be unlocked a few ways, depending on if you will be in Washington, D.C. on January 21st.  Join us at badgeunlock and get out there and give back to the community on January 19th at one of the thousands of events across the country.

Unlock Message:

Thank you for taking part in the National Day of Service. Join others across the country in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by continuing to serve in your community throughout the year: 2013pic.org/pledge

How to unlock:

Check this page for the National Day of Service and search for an event near you.

Volunteer at the event on January 19th and make sure you check in.

You can also unlock the badge by checking in at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on January 21st.
